Where Do I Go?

If you were to walk in on any given Sunday, here’s what you’d find: 

It all starts at 8:00 AM when we turn on the coffee, set up the keyboard and haul out the chairs. 

We work fast because Bible Study begins at 8:15. No preparation is needed as we simply open up the text and unpack what we find there. Joanie leads the deep dive into the Bible’s fascinating characters and compelling ideas. 

We gather for Worship at 9:30 which lasts about an hour. Praise music gets us going, followed by a Prayer segment which can vary from psalm reading to silent confession to multi-media prayer exercises. The Message comes next, delivered by one of our LEARN team members, but don’t be surprised if you find a guest teacher because we value hearing different voices. We share Communion on the 2nd Sunday of each month.

We close in prayer and then, of course, everybody lends a hand for the next 15 minutes to tear it all down until next week 

The real question is, what do you wear to best be able to worship, pray, learn and grow? For some, this looks like a t-shirt, for others coming from different traditions, they prefer a collar. We just ask that you respect why we’re gathered, with one caveat that Brian gave words to:  "I have been in churches where dress code is an official, though unwritten, Law. If you don’t dress a certain way, you will be ostracized. This past week, we had a second-time visitor who showed up shirtless. Why? Because he didn’t have a shirt. Guess how he was treated… like a brother. He was treated warmly and nobody cared how he dressed… except for the brother who rushed home to bring him some basic necessities… and a shirt."

Unfortunately, we can’t be all things for everyone. At present, we can’t provide a quality program for kids but we urge you to seek out another church in our area that does this well. Perhaps we’ll get called to this in the future, but for now our focus is on adults. Of course, kids are welcome in our main gathering, but they will need to stay with their parents.
