So, how did we Arise?
In July of 2021, decision makers 90 miles away closed the doors of Grace United Methodist Church Sarasota. A remnant of people who were left met and dared to ask, “What if God’s not finished with our community?” It turns out that He wasn’t.
Under a tree in a member’s yard, a handful of us gathered to worship and pray and to everyone’s surprise and delight, God did a new thing. Arise Ministries was born.
And then...
The real work began: We prayed for our purpose, envisioned our future, chose our name, formed our Leadership Team, wrote our bylaws and became a 501c3 non-profit church.
